BRITISH SANDWICH WEEK

At AMARONI we welcome the chance to help celebrate this week-long event of the greatest food to go and possibly one of Britain’s most iconic culinary inventions, the Sandwich!

It is said that the modern sandwich is named after Lord John Montague, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. He was a “dedicated” gambler, did not like to take time out from the game to have a meal. He would, therefore, ask casino waiters to bring him slices of meat between two slices of bread; a habit well known among his gambling friends. Because John Montagu was the Earl of Sandwich others began to order “the same as Sandwich!” – aka the ‘sandwich.’

This is the perfect opportunity to bring out your afternoon tea essentials, cake stands, side plates and teapots to help celebrate.

BIA’s Infuse range offers smart, colourful and practical teapots, ideal for loose teas or teabags.

Made from durable stoneware, each pot has a stainless steel lid fitted onto the handle, which is easy to open thanks to its thumb tab. Along with this, inside is a fine, removable, stainless steel infuser making it perfect for both loose leaf teas and tea bags alike!

Due to its cylindrical shape, Infuse is also easy to stack, and so makes for a great colourful display, as well as easy storage.

Available in a range of colours, each one comes beautifully presented in its own gift box.
